Where it all began

There are two values from which I work: a sincere love for the world and the people who inhabit it, and an immense passion for my profession. Both were instilled in me from a very young age.

My father is a great spiritual philosopher. Someone who taught me to look beyond the surface of things, to ask deeper questions, and to approach the world with curiosity and humility. My mother always knew how to narrate and write. She had a gift for finding the story within the story, and for giving voice to what others struggled to express.

In 1995, my father received a silver award from the American Resort Development Association, celebrating his leadership in prosperity, and my mother, then a news reporter, interviewed him on his philosophy of people and purpose.

From an early age, books filled my world. At fourteen, I was reading Paulo Coelho, Isabel Allende, Don Miguel Ruiz, Robin Sharma, and Malcolm Gladwell. Most of them gifted to me by my father. "Read, re-read, re-visit them and you'll eventually understand. It will all make sense one day," he said. Around the same time, I started journaling, writing down feelings, stories, and poetry. I believe the blend between my mother the writer and my father the thinker gave me the skills I carry into my work today: observing, reflecting, and writing.

It is that same spirit incuriosity, depth, and the courage to give voice to what matters that runs through everything Simon Global Consultancy does today.
